About the event
“The Telling: A Gathering of Remembrance” is an annual City-wide event in Montgomery, Alabama. Inspired by a Jewish Passover experience, local resident A.W. Hampton felt the desire to bring a condensed, unified history to African Americans and become active participants in telling their story and bring you into the triumph of today.
Led by “Telling” author, A.W. Hampton from Montgomery, Alabama and award winning historian, Joyce Sharrock Cole from Ossining, NY.
