Acclaimed artist, activist and storyteller Michelle Browder is coming to Westchester for a special two-day residency.

Michelle is the creator of Montgomery's powerful Mothers of Gynecology monument, which honors Anarcha, Lucy and Betsey - the enslaved women whose bodies were used in medical experimentation by Dr. J. Marion Sims.

Through art, history and activism, Michelle asks us not only to remember these women, but to restore their names, dignity and rightful place in history.

During her Westchester residency, Michelle will participate in programs exploring artivism, maternal health and birth equity, history, race and the power of young people to create change.
